Deja Vu

Well, people of West Bengal have been going through a lot nowadays. Load-sheddings have become a common guest and Subhash Chakrabarty has been restraining himself from his lovable antiques. I must admit, incorrigible that man might be, but his little stunts proved to be quite amusing............ we would love to see a few more of those Subhashda ! However on that note, I must say that our Mamata didi is more than making up for it. She had once attempted a melodramatic suicide, but nowadays she seems to be specialising on homicide, that too of an entire state. However, one can strongly argue how somebody can kill something, which is already dead ?! We will come to that later...... but first let me focus on the burning problem at hands.

After two years of constant bloodshed, I feel only one person holds the key to the entire Singur problem. Yes, you guessed it right.......its Ekta Kapoor or rather her team of numerologists and astrologists. Weird it might seem to be, but the only and the most obvious solution to the problem will be to rename Singur to Ksingur or Kksiinguurr or better still, remove the 'S' and keep it as simple as Kiinnguur. Who knows, the TATA's might cancel the whole Nano project and start a factory sized at more than 2000 acres, which would produce rice and potato of different flavors (at least ten of them) ! Just think of it, we would then be fighting over, whether to order Butter-Scotch Fried Rice or Vanilla Biriyani with Strawberry Potato chips as snacks !

West Bengal has seen 57,000 industries being closed over the last 30 years. Calcutta University, which was once comparable to the Oxford University, now can only be compared to Ox University ! But after a long and dark night, the dawn was finally coming and now it seems nothing more than a mirage. The prospect of Ratan Tata pulling out, is brightening everyday and it is most unlikely that the central government would permit the Chemical Hub to be formed at Nayachar, thanks to the delightful suicidal heroics of Prakash Karat !

The psychology of Mamata Banerjee is really easy to understand. If she had permitted the project to run smoothly, she would have been erased out of Bengal Politics even more smoothly. Moreover, she has taken the " time-tested " and highly successful path. Buddhababu may well realease a statement- " What CPM thinks today, Trinamool thinks tommorow ! ".

Whatever may be the outcome of this case, our elders are sure experiencing sweet Nostalgia ! History is repeating itself.......... its Deja Vu time !!
